Male Genital Rejuvenation

The question of why men explore genital enhancement and why many of them actually give it a go may seem like a question for anthropologists and people who specialize in sexual psychology. Men compare themselves to other males from the species, and this is something that no one can avoid, no matter how enlightened they might be. You do this on a subconscious level. Even animals know, on that same level, that a bigger phallus has more chance to attract more mates and thus more chance of offspring. These are some very serious influences of our atavistic nature, and we must never forget about these factors.

a. Circumcision

The foreskin in some males is very tight and does not slide during intercourse, as a result, the act of copulation becomes very painful, and also the area becomes prone to infection. Such people do need circumcision which involves removing the foreskin. Such procedures are a necessity in some religious practices.

b. Prepucioplasty and Frenuloplasty

These procedures are used so as to help the foreskin slide on the glans without sacrificing the foreskin. This leaves the sensation of the male organ completely intact.

c. Penile lengthening

This is the commonest aesthetic genital procedure undertaken in a young male. The hidden length of the penis which is about 1.5 inches is unraveled adding to the external length. This is a very exacting surgery and should not be undertaken without a urologic consultation.

d. Penile girth increase

Usually, this is combined with penile lengthening. A strip of patients own dermis, or acellular skin is used as a wrap around the penis. This procedure increases the girth of the penis about an inch. The grafts introduced survive, but care should be given to the area for about 4-6 weeks.

e. Pubic lift/pubic reduction for buried penis

Large fat deposits in obese males obscure the genital area. In some people, the penis is buried into the abdominal pannus preventing normal sexual and urinary functions. Normal acts like passing urine become an ordeal. In such people, it is necessary to reduce the bulk of the soft tissue in the lower abdomen and around the penis by liposuction as well as a tummy tuck in some cases. Long term results are very good if people watch their weight.

f. Surgery for Erectile Dysfunction

Such surgeries are offered to males who have not been responsive to medical treatment. A Urologist is a part of the team that undertakes these procedures.

Penile implants are devices installed within the penis that allow men with erectile dysfunction (ED) to get an erection. Semirigid devices range from permanently erect ones that cannot be altered to malleable ones that can be bent into position where appropriate. The simplest type of prosthesis involves a pair of malleable rods that are surgically implanted within the erection chambers of the penis. The advantage of this implant is that the penis is always semi-rigid and merely needs to be lifted or adjusted into the desired position.

The hydraulic, inflatable prosthesis also exist. These contain fluid and are inflated or deflated on demand. Some surgeons recommend their use because of the opinion that they are more easily concealed.
